Wild Studies

Animals have always been one of the ways I return to drawing. I study the way bodies carry weight, how a horse stretches into motion, how a bird folds into itself, or how much personality can live in the tilt of an ear. Some of these drawings are careful observations, others are quick attempts to catch a gesture before it disappears. Together, they become an ongoing practice of looking closer—learning anatomy, movement, and character through creatures that never seem to sit still for long.
